Generations of students enrolled at Baldor Academy located in the Vedado section of Havana in participation of one of the most rigorous curriculums of study ever known from the early grammar years of learning to high school.
Course of studies included mathematics, algebra and trigonometry based on the books authored and published by Aurelio Baldor. These books were routinely used as required text in educational institutions throughout America and many other countries.
Aurelio Baldor developed a didactic pedagogical method that shaped a solid foundation where nearly 100% graduate students invariably continued on to higher learning in universities throughout Cuba and abroad.
Baldor Academy was in many ways a Cuban national symbol for excellence in education due, in great measure, to Dr. Baldor's hard work, dedication, commitment and ardent love of teaching. Providing the best education to the children and youth of his beloved Cuba was his passion. His deep sense of patriotism and fervent religious beliefs made him a national iconic figure.
Since its foundation in the early 1930s, Baldor Academy counted with more than 3,500 students every academic year and provided transportation services that included 32 school buses. The volume of students' enrollment and sheer magnitude of the educational facilities surpassed many other learning institutions at the same or similar learning level of any capital city worldwide. Baldor Academy closed its doors on, or around 1961-1962 due to the political climate in Cuba.
El nombre del Dr. Aurelio Baldor ocupa prominente posición entre los más distinguidos e importantes educadores del siglo XX. Aurelio Baldor, nacido en La Habana, Cuba. (22 de Octubre del 1906) En los anales de la pedagogía no puede faltar el nombre de Aurelio Baldor, erudito, autor, matemático, educador, abogado, pedagogo y empresario.
Aurelio Baldor fundó el Colegio-Academia Baldor del que fue director, profesor, propietario y uno de los centros educacionales mas prestigiosos y respetados de América. Creó un eficiente y riguroso método didáctico que facilitó la enseñanza de las Matemáticas y otras materias. La gran mayoría de sus estudiantes pasaron a cursar estudios universitarios en Cuba y en el extranjero.
Generaciones de estudiantes cursaron estudios en el Colegio-Academia Baldor desde los grados de primera enseñanza hasta el bachillerato donde se formaron en materias de aprendizaje superior que incluyeron, la Matemática, Trigonometría y el Algebra de Baldor, obra publicada en 1941 y adoptada como texto oficial de segunda enseñanza en escuelas públicas y privadas en Cuba y el exterior.
El Colegio-Academia Baldor se convirtió en símbolo nacional de excelencia educativa en la República de Cuba y el exterior en gran medida por el incansable trabajo del Dr. Baldor, su dedicación, devoción y su ardiente amor por la enseñanza. Entregar la mejor educación a los estudiantes de su querida y adorada Cuba fué su pasión. Su profundo, gran sentido de patriotismo y fervor religioso lo convirtieron en una figura de simbolismo nacional.
Desde su fundación en el año 1932, el Colegio-Academia Baldor llegó a tener más de 3,500 alumnos cada año académico, y una flotilla de 32 ómnibus, cifras asombrosas de la época en cualquier capital del mundo y en relación con numerosas escuelas de Cuba e internacionales. Academia Baldor cerró sus facilidades educacionales en (aproximadamente) 1961-1962 debido al clima político en Cuba.
